These public assistance programs are targeted to assist families, children, the elderly, and disabled households, that are at or below the poverty level. Programs include; Supplemental Assistance Program (SNAP/ Food Assistance), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF/Cash Assistance), Medicaid to include Long Term Support Services/ Nursing home/Community-Based Care, Energy Assistance (Fuel, Cooling and Crisis), Auxiliary Grants, and General Relief (unattached child and burial).
Eligibility for benefits is determined based on individual circumstances which are disclosed during the application process. Anyone who is unsure if they qualify for benefits is encouraged to submit an application to screen for their personal eligibility.
