The Virginia Beach Department of Human Services is seeking resident input on ways to enhance and provide a range of service options with the Opioid Abatement Funds which have been allocated to the City of Virginia Beach from settlements with prescription opioid manufacturers and distributors.

A series of listening sessions and town halls are scheduled to provide residents with multiple opportunities to share their thoughts, concerns and needs regarding the opioid epidemic. In addition, residents are asked to complete an anonymous survey to share their experience with recovery and treatment options available in our community, and what can be done to improve those services.
