About
The mission of the Community Criminal Justice Board (CCJB) is to fulfill the requirements of Virginia Code 9.1-180 to the best of our ability and make the criminal justice system as effective as possible for the residents of Virginia Beach.
Meeting Time and Location
The CCJB meets quarterly and the schedule is approved each fiscal year. The quarterly meetings are held from 2-4 p.m. at the Office of Performance & Accountability, 2408 Courthouse Drive.

Board Membership
Composition: 11 Members with one member representing each of the following: City Council, public defender, Circuit Court judge, General District Court judge, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court judge, police chief, Community Services Board supervisor, chief magistrate, commonwealth attorney, sheriff and a local educator. City Council may appoint additional members.
Term: Four years; no term limit.
